What I Do

We are holistic beings and we must address our personal wellness with an integrated approach that includes the body, the mind and the spirit.

My work addresses all aspects of mental health, spiritual inquiry and healthy embodiment and is meant to promote well-being and living an abundant and successful life. I provide decades of experience, finely-honed skill and lazer-sharp intuition to help my clients address the deepest questions and issues that they face in their lives.

As an spiritual author and teacher, and long time shamanic practitioner, my approach to healing and wellness is based on ancient and esoteric wisdom that comes from a host of spiritual and psychological traditions.

The journey you will take by engaging in this work will align you with your true nature, the powerful self and the inspired life that are your birthright. Together, we will excavate the root cause(s) of your difficulties or negative patterns, learn to understand them, see your part in creating them, and ultimately remove them.

This work begins where psychology leaves off (although it does have many psycho-therapeutic elements), because it also addresses the physical body and the human energy field.

We will look at the way in which your past wounding, current belief systems, mental habits, core values and your relationship with your body may be keeping you from stepping into your fullest self expression and greatest potential.

As opposed to merely adjusting behavior or processing the surface symptoms of our personal story-lines (which tend to be the main goals of psychotherapy), this work is about aligning with the soul’s journey and honoring the individual search for purpose and meaning that calls so many of us as we move through our lives.

When you start to see your life as a cosmic opportunity to grow into and create the highest and brightest expression of yourself possible, you also invite the loving energies of the universe to co-create new and dynamic ways of being with you.

Jonathan is an Author, Spiritual Teacher, Energy Healer, Shamanic Practioner, and Spiritual Counselor.

He is a graduate of Harvard University and The University of Michigan.

Jonathan is a certified Master Teacher in Shamanic Reiki, Usui and Karuna Reiki. He is on the Advanced Graduate Studies Advisor for Shamanic Reiki Worldwide and an ordained Alakai (teacher/guide) in the Hawaiian Shamanic tradition through Aloha International. He teaches classes in Shamanism, Energy Healing, Reiki, Huna and Ho’oponopono at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, The One Spirit Learning Alliance and other major venues around the world.

Jonathan has completed four years of training in Inter-Spirituality and Spiritual Counseling at the One Spirit Learning Alliance in New York City, and was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2008. He is now a faculty member at OSLA, and he runs a monthly shamanic gathering there as well.

He has training and certifications in Cherokee Bodywork, Huna and Ho’oponopono (Hawaiian Shamanism), and he completed all core curriculum from the Foundation of Shamanic Studies. He has also been initiated through the Minoan Fellowship in Wicca.

Internationally, Jonathan runs spiritual retreats (Costa Rica, Bali, Nicaragua, Peru, Mexico) through his retreat company – The Living Project

Jonathan has privately studied shamanism, meditation, energy healing and the chakras with some of the most prominent teachers and healers in North and South America; as well as apprenticeships with shamans of Brazil, Bali, Nicaragua, Mexico and Hawaii.

Before moving into his work in holistic health, Jonathan had a successful career as an award-winning actor appearing on Broadway and Television.

Jonathan is deeply committed to empowering and healing people by bringing indigenous earth-wisdom into the modern world in practical and usable ways.

His first book about contemporary shamanism and the spiritual traditions of Hawaii called The Shaman’s Mind – Huna Wisdom to Change your Life is available where books are sold.
