Hawaiian Weddings
on Maui
Book now! Maui weddings beginning in the fall of 2021!
Your wedding or renewal of vows on Maui will no doubt be one of the most significant events of your life. Having officiated hundreds of weddings, I have observed that because there is so much planning that goes into a wedding (cake, tuxedos, menu etc.), one of most important aspects – the wedding ceremony itself – is often overlooked by many couples.
Marriage is about entering into a new way of being or the creation of a new entity – you as husband and wife. Because of the importance of this commitment, it is vital that each couple ceremonially acknowledges this paradigm shift with consciousness and care.
As an ordained interfaith minister, my training honors all spiritual and faith traditions. Whether you want a Hawaiian-themed wedding, a wedding that honors a specific spiritual or faith tradition, or simply a ceremony that simply celebrates the power of love, we will collaborate together in such a way, that when your “big moment” comes, the individual personality of each couple will shine through the words I speak, the vows that you take, and the experience that you share with your friends and family.
Every ceremony is specifically customized for each couple.
After you have chosen me as your wedding officiant, I will interview you, based on your preference individually or as a couple. I will also provide you with a detailed questionnaire that each person will fill out separately about different aspects of your relationship – your history, where you met, what you love and admire about the other person, humorous anecdotes, and what words you would like to hear in the ceremony, and those that you don’t resonate.
Then, I will take all the information that you provide, as well your preferences about the participation of other participants, specific readings or musical selections you may want to include, and create a customized ceremony and a set of vows that will turn your wedding ceremony into an experience that you and your witnesses will never forget.
Of course, if you decide that you don’t want to be involved in the creation of the ceremony, you don’t need to be. You can just leave it to me, and know that you are in the hands of an expert officiant.
